• Utilization of Advanced Technologies: Incorporate AI, machine learning, natural language processing, and blockchain to modernize PDS operations and enhance transparency, security, and stability.

Implementation Timeline:

• The integrated scheme will operate until March 31, 2031.

Technological Enhancements:

• Establish standardized structures for real-time monitoring, an AI-driven complaint and analysis system, and data-driven inspection mechanisms.
• Aim for ISO-certified processing structures to ensure operational transparency.

Social Commitment:

• The scheme aims to provide sufficient quality food grains to ensure food and nutrition security for 81.35 crore individuals, reflecting the government's social and legal commitment to ensuring a dignified life for citizens.

Recent Digital Initiatives:

• The government has implemented various digitization initiatives over the past decade, including:
  • Total computerization of TPDS (Targeted Public Distribution System)
  • Integrated Management of PDS (IM-PDS)
  • Smart PDS, which includes full digitization of ration cards, Aadhaar seeding, automation via e-POS, online allocation, and computerized supply chain management since April 1, 2023.
