World Food India 2025 Preparations Announced

Event: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in World Food India 2025 on September 25 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, for four days from September 25-28.

Focus: The event aims to showcase India's capabilities in the food processing sector, emphasizing food sustainability, and the production of nutritious and organic foods.

Financial Support: Under the PMFME Scheme, approximately Rs 770 crore will be allocated as credit-linked support to around 26,000 beneficiaries for micro projects in the food processing sector, which totals over Rs 2,510 crore investment.

Activities: World Food India will feature events such as CEO roundtables, technical sessions, exhibitions, and various business interactions (B2B, B2G, G2G).

International Participation: The event will witness participation from 21 countries including France, Germany, the USA, and China, with 150 international delegates expected.

Themes: The thematic sessions during the event will cover topics such as India as a Global Food Processing Hub, Sustainability and Net Zero in Food Processing, and Nutraceuticals, among others.

Expected Attendance: Approximately 100,000 visitors are anticipated to attend the event, which will represent 14 thematic pavilions dedicated to specific aspects of food processing.

Significance: This event is positioned to enhance India's status in global food processing while supporting local enterprises through financial assistance and knowledge exchange.
